Microsoft's Internet Mail
These setup instructions are for our customers who are running Microsoft's Internet Mail

- Open Internet Mail
- Select Mail then choose Options
- Click on the Server tab
- Enter your information as shown below.
Note: Passwords are case-sensitive so be sure and enter your password carefully.
Be sure to type in your correct email address... if you have choosen somthing other than @blackhills.com, then type in that domain name instead.
Outgoing and Incoming mail servers MUST be smtp.blackhills.com and mail.blackhills.com
- Click on the Connection tab
- Make sure I use a modem to access my e-mail is selected and that the Dial-Up Networking connection associated with your customers account appears in the box. If it does not, click on the arrow and select your connection.
Note #1: You may have chosen another name (i.e. "My Connection", "Sodak", "BlackHills", etc.) for your connection. Just select the name that is associated with your dialup.
Note #2: If you are using a local area network to access your email, then you will need to choose that option instead of a "dialup connection". Contact your Network Administration for your particular settings.
- Click Apply and OK to save your settings.
You are now ready to begin sending and receiving email with Internet Mail. For advanced program features and instructions, consult Internet Mail's "Help" files or contact Microsoft Support at:
